Phuket beaches certainly are one of the main reasons why Phuket has become one of the main travel destinations in Asia. There are various different Phuket beaches on both the west and east coast of Phuket.

The vast majority of Phuket resorts and hotels are however build along the Phuket beaches which can be found on the western side of Phuket which include Patong Beach, Kata Beach, Kamala Beach, Karon Beach and Surin Beach. There are also a number of beautiful Phuket beaches which are still left somewhat unspoiled as tourists often don't know about these secluded Phuket beaches.

Unfortunately most tourists don't leave their resort area and are therefore unaware about all these other magnificent beaches on Phuket.

We do recommend that you should take at least one day during your vacation and use this day to explore the island and visit some of the lesser known Phuket beaches. We are certain that you will have a really great time.Phuket Beaches

Also please remember that if you are visiting Phuket during the peak season which is from November until April. the popular Phuket beaches such as Patong beach and Kata beach become very crowded and busy. This is why you should rent a jeep, scooter or long tail boat and go and discover some other Phuket beaches.

Phuket Beach


Patong Beach - This Phuket beach is the most popular and busiest of all the Phuket beaches. There is a large variety of hotels in this Phuket beach area and Patong beach is well known for its excellent selection of Phuket Beachrestaurants, Phuket bars, nightlife venues and other activities.


Surin Beach -Before this lovely Phuket beach was relatively unknown with most travelers however since a few years Surin beach has become busy especially during high season. There are a few beach resorts located at Surin beach however there are many high end real estate developments in the Surin beach area.

Kamala Beach - This lovely Phuket beach is located just north of Patong beach however it is much more low key and offer a quiet and relaxing environment. There are a number of great restaurants and hotels located along this Phuket beach. Kamala beach is one of the most popular Phuket beaches with families and European travelers.Beach Phuket

Karon Beach - One of our favorite beaches on Phuket is most definitely Karon beach which is located a few kilometers south of Patong beach.. There are many really great hotels at Karon beach and the beach it self is among the nicest all the Phuket beaches.

Kata Beach - Another very popular Phuket beach is Kata beach. This Phuket beach actually consists of both Kata Noi and Kata Yai beach and is located just south of Karon beach on the West coast of Phuket.

Rawai Beach - Although this Phuket beach is not the ideal Phuket beach for tourists. There are other reasons why travelers should visit Rawai beach which includes for example the excellent variety of Phuket seafood restaurants which are located at this quiet Phuket beach area......
