Patong Shopping Malls

There are several Patong shopping malls where tourists and local Phuket residents can enjoy doing some shopping.

The largest and newest Patong shopping mall is the Patong Jungceylon shopping mall. This amazing Patong shopping mall is home to hundreds of boutiques and stores as well as dozens of restaurants and other types of food and beverage outlets. The most famous companies which run shops or food and beverage outlets at this Patong shopping venue include Carrefour, Robinsons, Apple, Burger King, Blue Elephant and KFC.

One of the oldest Patong shopping venues is the Ocean Plaza mall which is located along Bangla Road in the center of Patong beach. The main shop at this Patong shopping mall is the Ocean department store however you will find plenty of other shops including for example a Boots shop and various boutique clothing stores. There is also an excellent supermarket located in the basement of this ever so popular Patong shopping mall.

Another great place in Patong for shopping is the Patong OTOP market which is located along Rat U Thit 200 Pee Road. This massive outdoor Patong shopping venue has several hundred stores, Patong beer bars and food and beverage outlets. If you are interested in purchasing some copy DVD movies, software or perhaps some cheap fake designer brands then the Patong OTOP market is definitely the Patong shopping venue which you should visit. The shops at this Patong shopping venue normally open up around 10 AM and will close around 9 PM.

The Patong Bangla Road is another popular Patong shopping venue. Although Bangla road is most well known for the many Patong discos and Phuket beer bars, there are in fact plenty of shops and stores which line this well known road in Patong beach. You can find several large book stores, gold shops, tailors as well as numerous souvenir stands. The Ocean Plaza Patong shopping mall is also located along the Patong Bangla road.

You can also head over to the beach road of Patong. This road stretches a few miles and there are hundreds of stands and shops where you can shop at. Another rather popular Patong shopping venue is at the Patong Paradise complex. This area is generally known as the gay center of Phuket however there are plenty of interesting Patong shopping opportunities there including several wonderful clothing boutiques as well as a rather unique night market which sells mostly great clothing items and trendy shoes. Be sure to visit this lively Patong shopping venue during the early hours of the evening.

The last remaining major Patong shopping area is the Patong Nanai road area. This is mostly a residential area although there are also plenty of Patong hotels and guesthouses located along the Nanai road. You will also encounter many small stores and several large markets where mostly only local residents and expats go shopping. Shoppers will generally pay lower prices in this Patong shopping area.
