Laem Sing Beach is one of our favorite Phuket Beaches. Laem Sing Beach kind of reminds us of a beach on Mykonos or Santorini as it seems to be a gathering spot for the hip and trendy beach goers. If you do visit Laem Sing Beach during your holiday on Phuket then you will encounter mostly a somewhat younger and European beach crowd. It should therefore as come as no surprise that Laem Sing Beach is the only location where you will find a proper full moon party.

If you are staying in Patong beach but are looking for a nearby beach which is somewhat more quiet and is more clean then you should definitely consider driving up to nearby Laem Sing Beach.

Laem Sing Beach Location

Laem Sing Beach is located on the west coast of Phuket and can be found half way in between Surin Beach and Kamala Beach. If you are driving from Kalama beach along the main road then you will drive along somewhat of a cliff / hill where you will see a sign for Laem Sing Beach. You should park your car or motorbike there and then walk down one of two paths which will lead you down the hill to Laem Sing Beach. The paths to Laem Sing Beach can be somewhat steep and some people will have problems walking up back to the main road afterwards so you should be in somewhat of a good shape. It can be hard finding any form of public transport at Laem Sing Beach and if you are planning to take a Tuk Tuk back to your Phuket resort area then you could have to wait some time before one passes by. The Phuket guide therefore recommends for you to rent a motorbike or car or make a deal with a Tuk Tuk or taxi to pick you up at a specific time.

Laem Sing Beach Activities

There are plenty of Laem Sing Beach activities which visitors can enjoy. During the Phuket tourist high season however there are more activities available at Laem Sing Beach which would include water skiing, jet skiing, Para sailing and banana boats. If you enjoy water sports then there are some other great Laem Sing Beach activities as well which include kayaking, snorkeling and swimming in the calm waters of the Andaman Sea.

Laem Sing Beach Restaurants

There are several excellent Laem Sing Beach restaurants. If you would like to enjoy some great Thai food or fresh seafood then you will be more then pleased with the restaurants at Laem Sing Beach. Another point worth mentioning is that most of the Laem Sing Beach restaurants also serve Italian cuisine due to the large number of Italians which enjoy spending the day at the beach of Laem Sing in Phuket. The most popular restaurant at Laem Sing Beach is definitely Ristorante Da Ali. Prices at the various different Laem Sing Beach restaurants tend to be cheaper then what you would pay at similar restaurants in Patong Beach for example.

Laem Sing Beach Hotels

Fortunately for those of you that enjoy a beautiful and peaceful Phuket beach, there are no Phuket hotels or resorts located directly at Laem Sing Beach. It would certainly take away a lot of the charm which Laem Sing Beach has. If you however think that you would like to spend more than only a few hours at Laem Sing Beach then you should consider booking a Phuket hotel or Phuket resort which is located nearby to Laem Sing Beach.
