KATA NOI BEACH

Many travelers do not realize that there is in fact a Kata Noi beach as Kata beach is divided into two Kata beaches. In our opinion Kata Noi beach is the nicer of these two Phuket beaches. Kata Noi beach is generally not very crowded with perhaps the exception during Phuket tourist high season.
Many tourists prefer spending the day at Kata Noi beach and its small bay over visiting the larger Kata beach as Kata Noi beach has a somewhat more charming and cozy atmosphere. Kata Noi beach consists of beautiful white sand and the calm and crystal clear water of the Andaman Sea at Kata Noi beach is ideal for snorkeling and swimming. The Phuket guide does suggest for anyone to stay at a Phuket resort or hotel in Patong beach, Karon beach and the general Kata beach area to at least spend a day at Kata Noi beach as we are certain that you will have a great time and that you won’t regret heading down to the beach at Kata Noi. Kata Noi Beach Location Kata Noi beach is located on the West coast of Phuket. This popular Phuket beach is located just south of Kata beach and is located only a few minutes’ drive North of Nai Harn beach. This is one of the reasons why you will find many tourists at Kata Noi beach who are staying at a Phuket hotel or resort in one of these Phuket beach areas. You will also encounter many expats and local Thai residents at Kata Noi beach due to its central location and the wide range of facilities and amenities which can be found at this wonderful Phuket beach. Kata Noi Beach Attractions Kata Noi beach offers a wide range of attractions. Kata Noi beach is a relatively smallish Phuket beach however travelers and tourists can find plenty of things to do at Kata Noi beach. As previously mentioned, the water of the Andaman Sea at Kata Noi beach is ideal for people who enjoy swimming and snorkeling so these two are very popular Kata Noi beach attractions. There are also a number of water sport companies located at Kata Noi beach and you can enjoy such activities such as diving, jet skiing, Para sailing and even surfing. During the tourist low season visitors will frequently find more waves at Kata Noi beach and many local residents and expats try their hand at surfing during this time of year. Please do not expect any large type of waves as you would encounter in Hawaii however these waves at Kata Noi beach do seem to satisfy the needs of the local Phuket surfers. Kata Noi Beach Hotels There are not many accommodation options in Kata Noi beach due to its relatively small size. Many of the tourists that visit Kata Noi beach do therefore stay at a resort or hotel in the nearby Kata beach. If you would however like to find a hotel or resort which is actually located at Kata Noi beach then the Phuket guide would like to suggest the following excellent Kata Noi beach hotels and resorts: The Katathani Phuket Beach Resort and Spa and the 5 star deluxe Phuket Mom Tri’s Villa Royale. Kata Noi Beach Restaurants Most of the Kata Noi beach restaurants that you will encounter are smallish Thai style restaurants located along or nearby to the beach of Kata Noi. If you enjoy fresh seafood then you will be more then pleased when you try one of the outstanding Kata Noi beach restaurants. Alternatively you can also enjoy western style food at one of the restaurants located inside of the various different Kata Noi beach resorts and hotels. The Phuket guide would like to recommend for you to give the nearby Mom Tri’s Kitchen as it is one of the leading restaurants on Phuket. Kata Noi Beach Shopping There is a very limited assortment of Kata Noi beach shopping venues. There are a few small grocery shops at Kata Noi beach as well as a few Phuket tailor shops and souvenir shops. If you are staying at Kata Noi Beach and would like to do some proper shopping then we suggest for you to check out our Phuket shopping section of our Phuket guide. The two best Phuket shopping malls which you can visit are the Phuket Jungceylon shopping mall and the Phuket Central Festival shopping mall. You will have no problem finding a taxi or tuk tuk at Kata Noi beach which you could take you to these popular Phuket shopping venues.... |
