As I have been employed for a long time in the Phuket hotel industry, I often get asked questions about travelers planning a visit to Phuket. One of the questions I often get asked is what the best hotel in Phuket is. I wish it was possible to give an easy answer as to what the best hotel in Phuket is but I am afraid that this is not possible. It is like asking what the best movie of all times is or who has the most beautiful children or wife.
Some people might think that they have stayed at the best hotel in Phuket because it best suited their budget whilst others might believe that they stayed at the best hotel in Phuket because this hotel offered private pool villas for example. I would however like to try to answer this question and give you some general ideas on what I think is the best hotel in Phuket. I will actually list several hotels which could fall into this category and I am assuming that by best hotel in Phuket people are actually referring to the most luxurious hotels in Phuket. Amanpuri ResortThe Amanpuri resort is considered by many people to be the best hotel in Phuket. This amazing luxurious 5 star Phuket resort is home to the rich and famous. Many movie stars and high level executives have purchased private villas at this ever so beautiful resort in Phuket. The Phuket Chedi ResortThe Chedi resort was formally known as the Phuket Pansea resort and is located at the beautiful Pansea beach nearby to Surin Beach. There are 108 thatched cottages at this contender for the best hotel in Phuket. This wonderful 5 star Phuket resort offers both one bedroom cottages and two bedroom cottages. Baan Yin Dee Boutique ResortAnother trendy hotel which is a contender in my eyes for the best hotel in Phuket award is the Baan Yin Dee Boutique Resort which was founded by two Dutch brothers. This gay friendly Patong resort is especially very popular with people who would like to stay in Patong Beach but not near to any noise. Sri Panwa PhuketThis beautiful resort near Cape Panwa is a mix between a hotel and real estate development. It is definitely on our list of hotels that could be ranked as the best hotel in Phuket due to the amazing accommodation that they provide. They offer magnificent one and two bedroom villas for rent to tourists and travelers. The Mangosteen Resort and SpaThe Mangosteen Resort and Spa is one of the leading spa resorts on the island and is located in the southern part of Phuket. If you enjoy going to a spa daily then this could be the best hotel in Phuket for you. The Chalong area of Phuket however is not appealing to all types of tourists.
